There is a difference between intellectual silence and spiritual silence.  In intellectual silence, you are quiet but your mind remains focused on the material world. In Spiritual silence, you go within and turn your focus away from the material world. While both types of silence offer benefits, spiritual silence is the path to deeper connection with the Divine. In that place of connection, we realize there is no geography in consciousness. Our prayers increase in power and soar as if on wings.
