The story of St. Patrick who was taken into slavery in Ireland at the age of 12, escaped, and later came back to teach those who enslaved him is an example of how we can use our struggles to forge an even stronger connection with our inner Selves, our divine Selves, and in that process rise to our own level of Sainthood.
